|A Letter From Pastor Joe Howard III|
To My Faith CPCA Church Family,
2020 has been a year that we will never forget. From the record breaking hurricane season to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic and the social unrest regarding Police brutality to people of Color, this year will be one that will be in the memory books. Because of this pandemic, we have not been together in corporate worship since March 15th and some of you have asked the question "When will Faith come back for corporate worship?" I completely understand your question especially when you see other churches coming back to their places of worship over the recent weeks.
Well, here is the answer to that question. Our goal is to return to corporate worship on Sunday, January 3rd, 2021, as long as the conditions in our city are safe and there are health guidelines for gatherings during this pandemic season.
Here is an update of what the Church Sessiobn has been doing to prepare for coing back to Faith:
We will do all that we can so that everyone can come to Faith CPCA Church for corporate worship in a healthy and safe environment. Please understand that I am in constatnt meetings with local, state, and national health officials on how churches should be responsible and not reckless during this time.
Please understand my heart when I say that I Miss You and Love You so much - more than words can ever say. I am in constatnt prayer as I seek God's guidance and direction because I do not want to be irresponsible with God's church and the people He has entrusted me with to pastor. There is a stewardship of leadership that not only involves feeding you God's Word but also protecting God's people from dangers - seen and unseen. This pandemic is not over, and health officials are saying that we are in the second wave rioght now. This is serious and it is not over!!!
With that in mind, here are some things that I want you to hear and know:
I will be sending you another update in December as to where we are and where we are going as a church family. In closing, let us make the most of the opportunity that God has given us and trust God's Sovereign Plan even in these difficult times. But in the mentime,
PLEASE STAY HOME, STAY SAFE, TAKE CARE & GOD BLESS!!!!
Yours in Christ,
Rev. Joe Howard, III
